wow! Deplorable indeed.....the devilish devices that are the way of the former spoken word have me decidedly diligent to them these days, much to my chagrin; my daily desire for daylight has somewhat dwindled;
we down here, down under, apparently walking up-side down on this side of the divider known as the equator, are having our cold season;
being that i reside in one of the cooler regions of this former great and prosperous nation named Australia, the energy levels of this 'being have diminished; and; with all the noxious, offensive and almost daily chemical spraying of Our skies, i admit that i'm somewhat reluctant to be outdoors;
then there's the distinct lack of clear sunny days; it's constantly raining here; i don't so much mind the cold, but when the days are both cold and miserably wet my enthusiasm for the great outdoors isn't what it used to be not-so-long ago; the earths radiator shining bright somehow makes a cold day, not-so cold;
i spent an entire day outdoors just recently where i was recording the stripes being left in our skies by many aircraft; boy did i pay for that; i developed a rather nasty chest infection, the associated non-stop phlegm cough and headaches that let themselves known as soon as i opened my eyes; took me over a month to get over the worst of it; i know i was poisoned. i very rarely become ill and when i have done, a few days of rest usually sees me well again, but not this time....even i was worried about me for a while there!;
i am still breathing; sometime that alone is the best we can expect;
hopefully i will again be granted worry-free, happy and vigorous days sometime in the not-too-distant future, until then, i will keep on beating the drums; even if i am off rhythm to the written beat...

I can offer up this bit of 'medical advice' to be taken at your own risk- don't worry, it's quite simple, so simple that there's no allopathic doc that will likely tel you about it- and that is to grab yourself a few of the hottest onions that you can get for yourself, and several bulbs of the hottest garlic that you can find, and you fill yourself up a quart saucepan practically full with 2/3 onion (3-4 good size onions) and then the balance of garlic, and you slow simmer that down into a 'tea' so strong that you can hardly drink it, and then (you can insert your own drum roll here...) drink it down in evenly divided portions throughout your day.
This has been credited with healing tuberculosis, a variety of pneumonia infections, the flu, and the chest cold, as well as other sinus issues and whatnot.
So simple, but very powerful.
I hope you have hot onions and garlic there, this time of year.
Hot peppers are medicinal in similar ways, but not as affective as the onion/garlic brew.

Great recipe! Whilst not pleasurable to the taste buds, works incredibly well. As does finely sliced onions & garlic placed in 2 bags, just before bed, place your feet in the bags on top of the onions n garlic and firmly wrap several layers of cling wrap around your feet up to your ankles and sleep. Admittedly a bit squish squashy if you need to relief oneself through the night but well worth the process.
